Doctor of Chiropractic
For Dr. Mui it all started with high school wrestling. He was a competitive Varsity wrestler and was chosen as the All-Star League Wrestler at the Bay State Conference. However, he found the training intense and strenuous. This was very traumatic for his body, especially during tournaments. For years he suffered many injuries, such as consistent jammed fingers, injured his neck, lower back and even dislocated his elbow. He finally decided to visit a chiropractor to stop the chronic pain, and was absolutely ecstatic to be pain-free after one adjustment! From that moment on, Dr. Mui knew he wanted to be a chiropractor.
After finishing up his bachelor’s degree in biology at Northeastern University, he headed down to Florida to pursue his chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic. At Palmer, Dr. Mui graduated with honors and became well versed at providing treatment for physical rehabilitation and pain management. Though classes were challenging, his years at Palmer College were memorable and it prepared him to treat patients with the highest quality of care.
For Dr. Mui, one of the most meaningful experiences in his path to become a chiropractor happened during a clinical student abroad program in Vietnam. He was part of a team that provided chiropractic care to hundreds of patients during a four day clinical rotation. One of his patients was a three year old girl who had an undiagnosed dislocated shoulder. With his training and some direction from his supervising clinician, Dr. Mui was able to set her shoulder. He was moved to see the child’s mother cry, as the little girl reached out to grab a lollipop from Dr. Mui’s hands. It is experiences like these that drive Dr. Mui to continue to develop skills in chiropractic care and sports medicine. He continuously strives to provide the highest quality of care to patients.
Health and Wellness
Health and wellness are important aspects of our lives and Dr. Mui is committed to helping others live a desired and pain-free lifestyle. With proper chiropractic care, his goals are to help patients live a more fulfilling life, by allowing them to do daily activities without pain and discomfort, while avoiding long-term health risks. He is also dedicated to helping others recover from all types of ailments and pains from traumatic accidents and injuries.
As an avid sports enthusiast, one of Dr. Mui’s priorities is to help, treat and support athletes and others individuals who lead an active lifestyle. As a former athlete, he understands the demands a sport has on one’s body. He plans to make sure that any athlete who visits Mui Chiropractic, will be able to leave at a higher level of performance than before they started treatment.
